Hardy Tree

Hardy Tree – While waiting for better looks inside the Grand Canyon I was drawn to this tree growing near the edge.  Of great interest to me was the massive size of the exposed roots.  This specimen has had a hard life standing on the edge of this iconic canyon.  Thus my title, Hardy Tree.

Blue and Gold – The autumn colors along the Shoshone River outside Cody, Wyoming were absolutely stunning during September of 2016. During a two hour drive, I made several photographs to illustrate the beauty of the season.  The colors in this image remind me of the United States Navy, Blue and Gold.
