Another Opportunity to Photograph A Galapagos Yellow Warbler

Another Galapagos Yellow Warbler

I never tire of photographing songbirds. The Yellow Warbler is so distinctly colored that it usually captures everyone’s attention. This bird is not well camouflaged, which makes it stand out even more.

The photographic challenge can be getting them to stand still with no leaves or branches in the way. This one was pretty cooperative, whether intentional or not.

Forty-nine species of land birds are recorded in the Galapagos, twenty-two of which are endemic to the islands. The term land birds is an informal term to classify birds that are not water birds or sea birds. The Galapagos Yellow Warbler is the only endemic warbler in the Galapagos.
