Black Bear Cub on the Run 2

Black Bear Cub – This bear cub was one of the two cubs born to the cinnamon-colored black bear pictured on this site.  The two cubs had been sent up trees while the mother (sow) grazed on grasses and grubs in the area.  When the sow was ready to move on she called the cubs down from the trees and the trio started to move out.  This cub got spooked and scampered up another tree causing the sow to literally yell at it to come down.  Following several seconds of vocalizations between mother and cub the little guy down-climbed the tree at great speed and ran with abandon towards its mother.  Once the family was reunited they all headed into the forest in search of more food. This image captured the cub as it continued its run to safety.
