Dark-eyed Junco – preened and ready for whatever comes next near Indian Creek Campground in Yellowstone National Park. On a morning walk, I found this Dark-eyed Junco taking a bath in a puddle of water. Eventually, it flew into a tree and began the tedious process of preening. When I made this photograph while the bird was completing the job and taking a short rest.
