Golden Crownbeard – Golden Crownbeard or Cow-pen Daisy as they are sometimes called blanket disturbed areas along roadways and in abandoned fields all over the Texas Hill Country. In the spring, especially following wetter than normal winters, wildflowers abound. The Texas Bluebonnet is the state flower and is photographed by anyone owning a camera. However, there are many other beautiful flowers to be seen and photographed in the state. The Golden Crownbeard can fill a field with wonderful color in contrast to the Bluebonnets.
