Great Kiskadee – While birding with friends at Polliwog Pond outside Corpus Christi, Texas we were entertained by this Great Kiskadee. Like most flycatchers, this bird flew from its perch to catch a flying insect and immediately returned to the same perch. We watched it for several minutes and I tried hard to get clear images of it. The location of the perch was a real challenge as it was high up on a tree. The images I have added have been significantly cropped to isolate the Great Kiskadee from the not-so-great background.
