Greenthread – Thelsperma filifolium – This Texas Hill Country beauty appears in large groups or as individual flowers. It seems that during each of the four springs we have witnessed in Central Texas this flower has been abundant. This year was an exceptionally good year for them. They seem to be everywhere. However, one has to be careful as there are a number of Texas wildflowers that look similar as you drive down the road. Close inspection is always the best bet when looking at wildflowers. This flower is also known as Threadleaf Thelsperma.
