Land Iguana Hunting For a Snack

Land Iguana hunting for a snack.

This Land Iguana made my “job” more aerobic as it wandered amongst the bushes and cacti.

The Land Iguana subsists on leaves, and the pads, and fruit of cacti. It also grabs the occasional insect, including centipedes. Carrian is also on its occasional diet.

Land Iguanas are longer than their marine counterparts, ranging between 3 and 5 feet. They typically weigh up to 25 pounds.

Personally, I think they are not as imposing looking. One of my photos looks almost friendly.
