Old House at Lees Ferry – From the eastern end of US 89 Alt, there is a turnoff to Navajo Bridge. After crossing the Navajo Bridge to the north side of the Colorado River, the road meanders to the northeast to the former site of Lees Ferry. The ferry has long since ceased to exist, but there are some artifacts that remain. This is an end view of a house. The front of the house is also part of this portfolio. The area near where the ferry used to operate is now a boat launch and recovery point for commercial and recreational boaters on the Colorado River. This is one of the places where commercial operators start their multi-day trips through the canyon from. The area is managed by the National Park Service.
