Raven Still Talking – Ravens are among the most intelligent of the birds in the world. It is easy to sort of interpret what they may be doing or communicating. I kept a series of six images of two ravens and made captions that tell a fictional story that fits well with their activities. In the beginning, there was only one raven visible. I could hear them communicating with one another and I started making photographs. When the two ravens got together it was fun to watch the interaction between them. I just imagined what they could be thinking. The ravens were very animated and seemed to be talking with one another. My captions, of course, do not reflect what they may have been saying, only my imagination overlaid onto their antics. There was a gentleman sitting within a few feet of these two, but he didn’t seem to bother them. He did make my composition more challenging. These images were captured in Yellowstone National Park.
