Yellow-bellied Marmots in the Big Horns – During a visit to the Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming with my brother, John, and his wife, Sandi, and my wife, Connie, we spent a good part of the afternoon on the hunt for Pica to photograph. The search did not go well. However, there were teens of Yellow-bellied Marmots working the hillside in search of food and who knows what else.
As we were getting ready to give it up and move on, John spotted this immature marmot who was just too cute to pass up. I was so close to it I had to back off on the telephoto some in order to get its entire body in the frame.
